Once the BorderGuru App is installed and ready on your shopify store, you will be able to add BorderGuru as a shipping option as simply as any other carrier within shopify.
To access this configuration panel, follow these steps:
1. Log in to your shopify store's backend.
2. Click on the "Settings" tab (at the bottom of the menu bar on the left side of your screen)
3. Click on the section "Shipping and Delivery"
4. Within the "shipping" Section, click on the section "General Shipping Rates"
5. If you scroll down on the next page, you will see the shipping zones that are configured on your shop. You will likely see one shipping zone for the USA, and one or more for international destinations. (Note: If you need help with setting up shipping zones in shopify, please check out this link.)
6. For every shipping zone where you want to offer BorderGuru as a shipping option, click "Add rate"
7. On the dialog box that opens, select "Use carrier or app to calculate rates"
8. Select "BorderGuru Provider" as the shipping method from the dropdown and click "Done" at the bottom of the dialog box. Save your changes on shopify.
You have now configured BorderGuru as a shipping option for the shipping zone that you had selected.
By including or excluding countries in the shipping Zone (or Zones) where you offer BorderGuru, you can manage which shipping options will show up to customers from specific countries. If you do not want to offer shipping into specific countries or want to only let customers from a select group of countries order from your store, you can also control this via shipping zones: Countries that are not included in a shipping zone will not be shown as a ship-to option for customers at checkout.
