My customer lives in a country that requires a Tax ID for import. How does this affect my shipment?

Some countries, such as Brazil, Chile, Korea, Italy, and El Salvador, require a recipient's tax ID or other fiscal identification number in order to clear shipments through customs. While these situations are relatively uncommon overall, they can arise depending on the specific destination or the type of merchandise being shipped.

If you receive an order from a country where a fiscal ID is required, you can still ship the package using BorderGuru. Simply contact our customer service team and provide the recipient's identification number. We'll pass this information along to the appropriate customs brokers to help ensure the shipment clears smoothly.
